Daphne C. Rowe is the Founder and President of Pembroke Philanthropy Advisors. Daphne has worked in the field of philanthropy since 1981 and has a public policy degree from the Fels Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. She served as Program Officer and as the Director of Donor Services at The Philadelphia Foundation and as Program Officer for the 1957 Charity Foundation. She also managed a youth development initiative for the William Penn Foundation in Philadelphia. Daphne directed the SEI Giving Fund™, SEI Investment’s donor advised fund. Daphne is a former Trustee of the Valentine Foundation, a private foundation serving women and girls and was a founding member of the Foundation's Visionary Leadship Fund.  She serves on the  Portfolio Management Committee of The globalislocal Fund™, on the Chester County Community Foundation's Grants Committee, and on the Public Policy Committee of Women's Way.  She is a member of the Chester County Funders’ Group of Delaware Valley Grantmakers.

Janet Ries Stern, Senior Associate, maintains a coaching and consultancy practice with leaders in the nonprofit sector. She is trained and certified by the 21/64 Foundation to work with family enterprise clients around issues of multi-generational philanthropy and next generation family wealth and is currently completing training in the Certified Coach Training Program of Teleos Leadership Institute. Janet founded the ACE Awards for Excellence at the Inglis Foundation. She has developed curriculum, taught, and held administrative positions at the Germantown Friends and Agnes Irwin Schools in Philadelphia and Rosemont, PA. Janet is an intuitive leader with a talent for organizational and project development and she has extensive experience with environmental advocacy and secondary education. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from the University of North Carolina.

Martha E. Morse, Senior Analyst, a Harvard Law School graduate, previously practiced as a corporate attorney, specializing in securities law and mergers and acquisitions, most recently at Dechert LLP.  Ms. Morse serves as the Executive Director of the Edna G. Kynett Memorial Foundation and brings experience in grantmaking and governance to Pembroke's clients.  She currently sits on the board of The Breakthrough Collaborative and the Grants Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.  She has served on various non-profit boards, including The Agnes Irwin School, Living Beyond Breast Cancer and The Valentine Foundation, and was a founding member of the Valentine Foundation's Visionary Leadership Fund.

Alexandra Samuels, Senior Analyst, has extensive philanthropic experience that includes working for Delaware Valley Grantmakers, the region's association of grant makers, at Rohm and Haas as the Manager of Civic and Philanthropic Affairs and at The Philadelphia Foundation as the Director of Grantmaking Services.  She is on the Advisory Board of Bridging the Gaps and is a former Chair of The Valentine Foundation.

Margaret Brennan, Administrator and Grants Manager, has over twenty years of administrative experience in business, academic, and foundation environments. She manages all grant data for Pembroke’s clients and administers Pembroke’s daily operations. Marge is familiar with many area non-profits, having volunteered at organizations including The Women’s Resource Network, Meals on Wheels, and Interfaith Hospitality Group. She has a degree in social science from Rosemont College.
